Favorite Click Of the Week: Barenaked in Boise

Cute counts!

There are a lot of guys who strip down to their birthday suits in public and end up getting arrested. Not many however are as cute as 20 year old Jonathan Palmer. Thanks to One Angry Queer I got to know a little about Jonathan and his attempted to overcome his fear of being naked in public by walking the streets of Boise wearing nothing but his great head of hair. Check out a bit more at One Angry Queer HERE:

Just Because: Aussielicous

I have talked before about some of the inspirations that helped me decide how and what I wanted FH to be and feel. I knew I did not want to be just a picture posting blog. There are far too many of those. Yes, I wanted amazing photos but I also wanted the blog to say something. BeautifulMag was an early inspiration. I also wanted the blog to have a magazine feel. I wanted a cover (pic of the day), regular features (birthdays, just because, imports, blast from the past). As well I knew I need feature stories (Photographer, model and actor profiles). I wanted humour, entertainment and a focus on new talent (stage actors, photographers, models) not getting massive exposure elsewhere on the web. I have been lucky to work with some big names on FH but some of my favorite pieces have been on yet to be discovered incredible talents.

Another thing I desperately wanted was to incorporate bits of my life within the blog. I had serious struggles with this for awhile. One of the people I turned to for support with this was Brenton Parry who runs one of my favorite blogs Aussielicous. I never really wanted to post specifically about myself, but wanted to say something about who I am and what I believe through my posts. I think the first time I really shared details was back in 2009 when I reviewed Greg Pritikin's Totally Confused. This movie had a profound impact on me as it so closely mirrored my life.

A couple of weeks ago I was researching my post on photographer Chris Singleton and was going through pages from the old 2kmodels site. Low and behold I found Brenton's old page with some incredibly sexy shots! The shot below, a self portrait had to be shared. I love everything about the shot especially the framing. (the framing...yeah...) Brenton is able through Aussielicous to seamlessly share his photography, his love of beautiful men, his many talents and loves while also candidly and honestly sharing his life. The small struggles, the big ones, work issues and personal issues alike. No matter what Brenton writes he has a talent for remaining funny, respectful and most of all to me, oh so relatable. Thanks Brenton!

Favorite Click of the Week: Max Dennis by Marlen Boro

'He has the face of an angel and a body made for sin'

That quote fits Max Dennis to a tee, the face, adorable, comforting, warm. That body, toned, sexy and ready. Last week BeautifulMag featured Marlen's and his work with Max (check out the full profile HERE:)

Marlen out did himself working on Max's slide show, one of his hottest to date! (and given the subjects of his previous shows, that was not an easy feat!) Check out all of the sinfully hot Max Dennis in his slide show on Marlen's site HERE:

'My life has been one great journey – a chaotic collection of events. But all along this journey I developed a love for photography, which centres on outer beauty and in particular portraiture photography, which centres on the often more hidden inner beauty. Shrouded has allowed me to bring both together.'

Favorite Click of The Week: Jim Wilkinson Images

This past October I profiled the work of photographer Jim Wilkinson and his work with muse Eric Glenn. (Check out that post HERE:) Although Eric is pretty close to perfect, Jim's focus is on shooting 'real men' and capturing that special essence that makes each man a 'living, unique work of art.'

Above and below: Eric Glenn

Jim recently began his own blog to showcase his work. In addition to great looking guys, Jim also shares shots from his other projects including his book; NAKED TRUTH
Exposing Men's Souls. (You can preview the book HERE:) The images from Naked Truth are raw, funny and often heartbreaking. Be sure to check out Jim's blog HERE: to see more.

Favorite Click Of The Day: David Wagner on BeautifulMag

I have written in the past that one of my inspirations for FH was BeautifulMag. I loves it clean classy look but more importantly I love the respect it shows the artists it features. As someone who at one time had the goal of professional photographer (I have written about the various weddings I shot) I have grown to loath the countless sites and blogs that post shot after shot of someones work with little to no text, sometimes their name, most times not even that.

In the tradition of BeautifulMag, FH tries to go beyond the photo and look at what went into to creating it. When FH does it job best I try to blend the view of the photographer and model (and stylist or make-up artist when able) to give a feel of what went into the creative process. It continues to fascinate me how some shots came together.

I felt privileged to discover the work of photographer David Wagner earlier this fall. David's work immediately jumped out at me. It is difficult to find new and creative ways to shoot the male form but through David's lens I really felt I was seeing something new and exciting. David generously has shared both his work and his thoughts about his work. (See David's work on FH HERE: & HERE:). It was wonderful recently to see David's work showcased on Beautiful. David's shots of the ultra hot Carlos Villar are spectacular and if you have not seen the shoot please head over to Beautiful HERE: and check them out ASAP!

Must add a Happy Birthday today to Rob From BeautifulMag!

Favorite Click of the Day: Aussielicious

I love when readers email me and tell me how they like to begin the day with a cup of coffee and reading FH. I am usually in too much of a hurry to get out the door in the mornings (even though I often get to go in late) so I do most of my blog reading just before bed. One of those blogs I never miss is Aussielicious run by my friend Brenton Parry. I have written about Brenton and Aussielicious before but there were two reasons this week to give another shout out.

Firstly, Brenton turned me on to the story of Aussiebum unleashing 7 beautiful men in Selfridges in London during the week. The models walked through the department store to promote their brand and the new MyDay range. The pics are quite spectacular!

I again moan about the Puritan state in North America. You know although there may have been models in their undies in an American mall or store, those undies would have been huge boxers (with briefs underneath). In addition they would most likely be wearing reindeer antlers or some other such prop as Americans tend to take their male skin better when it is swallowed with some comedy.

Speaking of Brenton, It is just over 6 weeks til his first exhibition and even though I will post more about it when it gets closer the poster for Shrouded was released. I just love the poster and the title!
No need to be nervous Brenton, I smell a hit!
