An impulsive buy ?

Hi guys,

A peep of my new jacket from Zara. It's very bright, very orange and I'm still not quite sure what I'll wear with it but I fell in love with this colour.
Outfit pictures will follow soon but for now do you guys have any suggestions on what I should wear with it?

See you soon.

Zara Spring/Summer

Hi guys,

Well, there is no doubt that this Spring/Summer will be a stripy one. Prada done on the catwalk and the stripes are strong on the magazine covers. I have found out that at least 48 magazine covers showcased pieces from the colourful Prada collection.

Stripes are easy to wear and you can currently find cool items in any shop around town from the classical nautical, white and navy to the colourful ones. If Prada is what you have in mind look no further.

Hey guys, don't get me wrong all the stripes are cute but in the end, I could not help falling in love with those trousers!

AND... another reason why I can't wait to go to Zara, is because I want to try on these gorgeous wooden sandals.
I have recently tried on a pair of wooden clogs, although that were very comfortable I didn't feel very secure with them on. Then, I saw these sandals and they ticked all the boxes for me. I love the colours for starters, the clog-ish style is exactly what I was looking for and they just have some simple leather straps across the top which seem to be comfortable, at least from the pictures they look amazing!

I am slightly scared of wooden shoes as many years ago, I had bought a pair of wooden Dr. Scholl sandals, the trend was on and oh my God(!) they killed my feet. The leather on the top was so hard and the worst thing was the metal clip, there is no way that area was ever going to get soft! In the end I had to give them away, there was no point having so many blisters. So be aware of that kind of style, it looks amazing in theory but reality is always a different story.

Off to Zara tomorrow! Wish me luck ;-)

Mitsi bags - LFW Exhibition

Hi guys,

Carrying on with some pictures from London fashion week, I was in heaven when I came across these fabulous handbags by Mitsi.
Well, you guys know that I LOVE handbags... it's one of my biggest downfalls, I can't help myself... having to choose between bags and shoes, I am a real bag girl. Anyways, these fantastic bags are made with so many different leathers which are beautifully worked and crafted in special ways.

Some of the bags below are made of fish skins, such as eel and salmon. All are very soft, light leathers with an amazing finish, other designs are made of ostrich or cow leather.

I had the pleasure of meeting the designer Paula Frering, a fellow Brazilian, with loads of style and a lovely energy, which she really puts into the designs of her bags and the result is stunning.

I took these pictures of the lovely leather swatches, because you can custom make your bag with an array of different colours and skins. Pictures 1 and 2 are swatches from ostrich leather, pictures 2 and 3 shows salmon skin and picture 4 is also fish leather, from a Brazilian fish called pirarucu.

Heidi London Sunglasses - LFW

Hi guys,

Before I post the pictures from some of the fashion shows at London fashion week, I just had to share with you these amazing sunglasses!

I had so much fun with Heidi, the designer. As you can see I didn't give her much of a rest because I had to try most of her gorgeous designs.
Heidi London, it's a cool brand selling really funky, colourful frames and sunglasses. They have recently paired with Zeiss, a well renowned German photographic company to produce the most high quality lenses, which will not only make you so stylish but will protect your eyes. A lot of people forget that sunglasses are not just for fashion, for example I would never buy any cheap plastic sunglasses from anywhere, ever, because I do think of my eyes, always.

So here they are, lovely kooky frames made of limited edition vintage material sourced in Hong Kong. Each pair is handmade to evoke individuality and it certainly does!

This is the ONE I fell in love with! The aqua colour is so flattering on my skin.

This style is perfect for me and I want one in every single colour!

I hope you guys have enjoyed it, for stockist and further details please check her website.

Holly Fulton - LFW Exhibition

Hi guys,

There is so much going on at Fashion week that is hard to keep up. I was around Somerset House again and had a great time, once more meeting loads of people. I bumped into a good friend of mine and we went to watch some of the Vauxhall Fashion Scout shows, it was cool. Pictures and posts soon will follow.

Anyways, apart from the fashion shows there is also an exhibition going on, where upcoming labels display their collections for future buyers. So over the next few days I'll be giving you guys a peep at some of these.

Starting with Holly Fulton.

I really adored these dresses, beautifully embellished with glass beads. They have such an art deco feel to them and are absolutely stunning.

And her jewellery is also incredible! I want those cuffs and the necklace.

Her new collection for A/W 2011 will be on the 20th at 9:45 am.

The latest Birkin inspiration - Thursday Friday shopper

Hi guys,

I hope you all have been well lately. So, today is a Monday but I'll be talking about the 'Thursday Friday Together bag', which is an eco fabric shopper, made of canvas with a Hermes print on it!

Well, I have already blogged about the Birkin style bags which are made of jersey and this fun and cool creation has to be shared too.

Obviously these bags are much cheaper than the real thing, no doubt about it, but it's not necessarily easy to get your hands on one as you would imagine. They have already sold out a few times on their website and now all the bags are on back order. Actually, there is a lengthy waiting list for them too!

Although you would not think much of it, I have seen someone wearing it before and I had to take a double glance to realize that is wasn't a Birkin. Believe me, I was surprised to see that it was a canvas bag and curious to find out who were they by.

Made by American (L.A based) brand, Thursday Friday costing only $35 in 3 classic Birkin colours as red, blue and brown no wonder why it's flying of the shelves.

Is this chic shopper for you? The together bag will be back in February but orders can be placed in advanced. Run Lola, run!

See you soon.

Dancing bags

Hi guys,

I just came across this really cool bags designed by Amalia Mattaor. They are called 'dancing bags' and they might be just what you need for that chic night out, clubbing around the town. I'm sure they would be the hot topic of your evening.

The mixture of jewellery, shoulder pads and the design of the bag itself really works for me. It's so modern.

They are an innovative concept and Eco friendly too, cleverly made of fish such as salmon and eel. The fish skin is a by product of the food industry which is normally discarded and then sold, therefore this method of sourcing and it's products are considered Eco friendly.
Eel for example has a very soft, smooth, thin skin. It wears quite well but requires some care.

Feel free to dance, to use your hands, being double safe that your bag will be safely secured to your arm all night, in a very stylish way. It's a total yay for me!

nOir Jewelry - Cat woman claw ring

Hi guys,

I have been meaning to write a post about nOir Jewelry for a while and I could not resist now, looking at their new collection for DC Comics.

I desire...

This fiercely gorgeous Cat Woman Claw Ring! Isn't it amazing?

Really LOVE this one!

Cat Woman long claw - $280

Cat woman short claw -$150

Have a look at their website for other fabulous designs. www.noirjwelry.com

See you soon.

Is it a bag or a pair of shoes?

You decide!

A creative approach by Azumi and David, those clutches emulate the classic Chanel quilted style with the base of the bag being a pair of shoes, made of leather sole and heels!

I also came across this Birkin style bag...

With an interesting boot shape.

I would like to hear your thoughts on this... for starters I would not be worried to then rest my bag on the floor instead of resting it on a chair, I am actually embracing the idea and given the opportunity, I would give them a go for sure. Let me know what you think.

See you soon.

Issey Miyake London shop - Bond Street

Hi guys,

I hope you have been well. I'm adding some new features to the blog... shop windows!!!
I love to do some window shopping, especially around Bond Street or Knightsbridge where you get the poshest shops in town. This week whilst walking out and about with my camera, I managed to take loads of cool pictures. It's been to cold for street style pictures at the moment... everyone is so wrapped up that sometimes it is hard to capture the outfits, but I have some really cool looks coming soon, so stay tuned.

Anyways, for now I'll leave you guys with a view of the Issey Miyake shop in Bond Street! One of my favourites too!
